Star Cool Service Meetings 2026 – Strengthening Partnerships in Qingdao

The Star Cool Service Department recently had the pleasure of hosting a service meeting for our authorized service providers and selected repair partners. The three-day event took place in Qingdao, China, from 8–10 June, bringing together 121 participants from across the network. As part of a global service organization supported by more than 400 authorized service providers worldwide, the event offered an important opportunity to strengthen relationships, align on best practices, and reinforce the high service standards our customers depend on every day.

The event was kicked of with a warm welcome and an update on MCI and Star Cool, followed by an inspiring reflection on the past 20 years of Star Cool and our shared journey, highlighting key milestones and developments, including the evolving refrigerant landscape.

Participants were introduced to our latest innovations and product developments before we moved into a focused session on spare parts. Here, Part Sales Manager Per Vilsbæk presented the newest additions to our catalogue, along with a range of consumable items. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the quality of our parts firsthand, while also sharing valuable ideas for future development.

As always, our processes around warranty, modifications, and part returns generated strong engagement. We presented the latest warranty requirements, demonstrated recent updates to the claims portal, and discussed the importance of part return processes in supporting our remanufacturing efforts. The session also included an overview of our upcoming training calendar, new e-learning modules, and key features of the Service App.

A highlight of the event was the guided tour of our Qingdao manufacturing facilities, offering participants a unique opportunity to see how reefers are built—from start to finish.

Beyond the formal sessions, the meeting provided valuable time for networking and relationship-building. Social activities, including a group dinner and a boat trip in the harbour, created a relaxed setting for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and discussions on how we can continue to improve together. These exchanges are key to strengthening our collaboration and delivering even better service.

We also celebrated long-term partnerships by presenting service awards to providers who have collaborated with us for more than 10 and 15 years. We sincerely thank all participants for their engagement and contributions to making this event a success. Your dedication and partnership are essential to delivering world-class service and support to our customers every day.

Star Cool Service was represented by Head of Global Service, Peter Tanner, along with Service Managers Brian Hinrichsen, Hee Kun Kim, Ramil Gali, Michael Xu, and Sunny Wang, as well as Global Service Assistant Henriette Gimm.

In parallel with the service meeting, we held our annual Star Cool Service Department gathering, bringing together colleagues from around the world. This internal meeting focuses on knowledge sharing, technical updates, and training, ensuring our teams remain fully equipped to provide accurate, up-to-date support both in the field and online.
