Carol Zhang Appointed Managing Director of MCI Qingdao
After serving as Interim Managing Director since the beginning of the year, Carol Zhang has officially been appointed Managing Director of MCI Qingdao, alongside her role as Chief Financial Officer. With more than 18 years of experience at MCI and a deep understanding of both manufacturing and customer needs, Carol brings extensive knowledge and continuity to one of the company’s most important production facilities.

Having spent nearly two decades contributing to MCI’s development, Carol has held a variety of leadership roles and gained broad experience across the business. Prior to joining MCI, she spent eight years with Qingdao Coca-Cola, building a strong foundation in manufacturing and operational management.
As Managing Director, Carol is focused on ensuring that MCI Qingdao continues to deliver the quality, reliability, and innovation that customers around the world expect from MCI. Her leadership is centered around three core priorities: safety, quality, and cost, while driving continuous improvement across the site and advancing the use of digital technologies to support operational excellence.
During her interim leadership period, MCI Qingdao has continued its focus on stable and safe production, reliable processing quality, and competitive productivity. Looking ahead, Carol’s ambition is to further strengthen collaboration across the organization and support MCI’s long-term strategy of delivering industry-leading refrigerated container solutions and services to customers worldwide.
Carol’s appointment also reflects MCI’s commitment to developing leadership from within and fostering an inclusive workplace where talent and experience create opportunities for growth.
