Leader – Q3 2025 – Integrated Reefer News
By Søren Leth Johannsen

As we enter the final stretch of another exciting year, I am proud of the progress we together have achieved in MCI. Our teams across the globe have shown remarkable dedication and pride, and the results speak to the strength of our shared commitment.

We are focused on delivering reliable, high-quality equipment to our customers while continuously improving how we work together. Our strategy is clear, and we are on track to meet our near-term goals. But long-term success requires more than just performance – it demands transformation.
To build a resilient and future-ready MCI, we are cultivating a stronger collaboration, clearer roles and responsibilities, and a culture of accountability. These are not just internal ambitions – they are the foundation for delivering consistent value to our customers and partners, encompassed in our vision of:
Creating value for societies by enabling sustainable global cold-chains.
In this issue of Integrated Reefer News, we explore how MCI is engaging with the global secondhand reefer market through international roadshows, share insights from depot visits in Central America on the risks of chemical cleaning practices, and celebrate 20 years of Star Cool innovation – from its Danish origins to over half a million units produced and the launch of Star Cool 1.1.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for Intermodal Europe 2025 in Barcelona, taking place from 21–23 October. As our industry’s show highlight and MCI’s biggest event of the year, Intermodal is a key moment for us to engage with most of the market in one location. We look forward to welcoming our industry relations at stand D40 in Fira Barcelona – an important opportunity to connect with partners, exchange insights, and showcase our latest developments.
Warm regards,
