MCI Reflects on Intermodal Europe 2023

Amsterdam, The Netherlands: From 10-12 October, the RAI exhibition center in Amsterdam was the venue for the annual Intermodal Europe Exhibition. For Maersk Container Industry (MCI), this event serves as a vital opportunity to connect with industry counterparts and delve into discussions about the dynamic world of the reefer container and cold chain industry.

On the second day, our Director of Global Sales and Service, Anders Holm, was invited to attend a panel discussion together with peers from Emerson and Carrier titled “Unlocking Data Interoperability at Sea: A Collaborative Approach”. His contribution underscored MCI’s leadership in digitalization and decarbonization. MCI has been recognized for being the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to connect its customers reefer fleet, exemplifying the advantages of integrating the Star Cool reefer with the IoT and the Sekstant global guidance platform for energy monitoring, remote pre-trip inspections, and container security.

Pre-exhibition gathering:
Prior to the official show, MCI held its honoured pre-intermodal customer reception in downtown Amsterdam. This iconic venue, celebrated for its picturesque views of the city’s inner canals, hosted approximately 100 members from our business circle.
