Star Cool Roadshows – Connecting with the Global Secondhand Reefer Market
For two decades, Star Cool has delivered refrigeration solutions to the global container industry, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and serviceability. As a result, a growing number of refrigerated containers are slowly but steady reaching the end of their first life cycle, which means opportunities for the secondhand market in areas such as static cold storage and other temperature-controlled applications that arise.
With Star Cool reefers now increasingly entering the secondhand market, MCI is strengthening its focus on highlighting their benefits and full lifecycle value. This development allows us to engage more directly with customers and ensure that Star Cool units are recognized for their performance and versatility throughout their entire lifespan – both at sea and in secondary applications.
A Global Roadshow Series
In 2024, MCI launched the first Star Cool Secondhand Roadshow, hosting informative events in key locations to engage with customers, service providers, and stakeholders active in the secondhand reefer market. These events provided insight into Star Cool’s lifecycle value, shared best practices for extending unit life, and offered direct dialogue with our experts.
Building on this success, the second round of roadshows takes place in Q3 and Q4 2025, as well as in early 2026, with shows already concluded in Asia and North America. The locations are:

- Qingdao – 11 September 2025 (concluded)
- Long Beach, US – 15 September 2025 (concluded)
- Bangkok – 14 October 2025
- Mumbai – 9 December 2025
- Sao Paulo – Around Asia Fruit Logistica South America 2026
