MCI seeks to support local suppliers

MCI in San Antonio (MCIS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chile’s development agency “Corporación de Fomento” (CORFO) with the aim of boosting Chile’s industrial supply base.

Luis Felipe Céspedes, Minister of Economy of Chile, visited the plant and said: “What is taking place is a step forward in investment. It is extremely important for us as government, since it will generate productive linkages due to this foreign investment.”

Brian Nielsen, CEO of MCIS, said: “We celebrate this MoU, and we confirm our genuine and strong confidence that this will be a powerful mechanism to support the creation of a sustainable and competitive number of local suppliers."
