MCI and Innovation
MCI has acknowledged that innovation is the key to stay and grow profitable in the market. Innovation is in this way a keyword in the MCI strategy.
Despite MCI has no production facilities in Denmark, we have a lot of good reasons to keep our R&D in Denmark: the Danish engineers are renowned for their creativity and independent thinking, we have the opportunity of strong networking with technical institutes, universities and suppliers, and finally we have great workmanship traditions, which make prototyping easy.
The projects carried out by R&D
can be divided into two categories:
- Projects concerning optimizing and new development,
which are directly related to our own products and production - Projects carried out for (and with) Maersk Line
Cooperation
In our continuous efforts to improve existing products and
develop new concepts, designs and materials, MCI cooperates with
the leading capacities from a broad range of both national and
international universities, institutes and other science based
organisations.
Potential suppliers are often involved in the projects as well.
It is said, to a craftsman half of the work is having the right tools.
For R&D, half of the work is to be connected to the right people!
