Talent Development
Within the MCI Group we have a strong focus on talent
development, because we believe that grooming talent among our
employees will give the MCI Group a long-term competitive
advantage, thereby supporting our business growth and enabling the
achievement of our strategic goals.
We have taken different initiatives to secure the on-going
development of our employees. For example we have established a
development lab at MCI Tinglev, where our employees can educate
themselves, by means of e-learning courses, a collection of
different scientific literature available on loan and an archive of
articles on relevant subjects.
Further, we have developed our own Talent Management Programme for our two subsidiaries in China, which has proved a great success. The Talent Management Programme is a two-year programme, in which participants learn, through predetermined courses and on-the-job training, the necessary professional and personal skills recommended to enhance their career within the MCI Group.
The main objectives of the Talent Management Programme are:
- To support the on-going development of the MCI Group
- To maintain a high performance organisation
- To ensure an optimum match between the required competences and the generalist and specialist talents in the organisation
All participants in the Talent Management Programme are selected
by their managers. This ensures that MCI always has qualified
employees who can take on more responsibility and
achieve higher positions.
Besides the Talent Management Programme, MCI also send employees on
different entry level programmes within the A.P. Moller - Maersk
Group such as the Maersk International Technology and Science
Programme (MITAS).
